The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria is the world’s center for cooperation in the nuclear field committed to promoting safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear technology. The IAEA employs professionals from a variety of scientific and policy backgrounds. The IAEA offers different types of employment opportunities: for professional and general service posts; consultants and experts; junior staff, through internships; and the Junior Professional Officer programme. IAEA Programs at Argonne offers U.S.-sponsored internship and Junior Professional Officer positions for recent graduates and professionals. There are also programs to offer senior professionals an opportunity to temporarily join the IAEA’s workforce as Cost-Free Experts.
