    The mission of the West Central Texas Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging is to serve as the region’s leader in advocating, planning, coordinating, and providing a full range of services and opportunities to individuals over 60 and with disabilities, their caregivers, and family members to maximize their independence, well-being and health and maintain meaningful, dignified lives in their own home and communities as long as possible.

    About Us

    West Central Texas Council of Governments is a political subdivision or governmental unit of the state of Texas established in 1966, serving the 19 counties, including cities and other districts, of Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Knox, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor and Throckmorton in a rural area encompassing 18,000 square miles.
