The City of Montpelier Parks and Trees Department strives to provide all residents and visitors of Montpelier access to outdoor recreation in ways that include as many people as possible. We recognize the land we steward as traditional Abenkai land, and grapple with the legacy of racism and colonialism that has plagued outdoor "recreation" since the inception of the term.
