The Fairfax City Economic Development Authority is charged with supporting the business community throughout Fairfax City and creating an environment that cultivates entrepreneurship, small businesses development, and a vibrant diversity of businesses throughout the city. With partners at George Mason University, the Authority collaborates on the Mason Enterprise Center-Fairfax, an incubator project located in Old Town Fairfax. The Authority is governed by a commission appointed by the City Council and works in close collaboration with the City’s Economic Development Office to implement the economic development strategies of the Mayor and City Council.
