About Us

The Global Health E-Learning Program (eDGH) aims to expand access to health education for a global workforce through innovative e-learning technologies in order to impact health outcomes in resource-limited settings.

eDGH has technical and administrative expertise developing and implementing e-learning programs and projects including online courses and grant-funded research, service, and training projects with e-learning components in low-resource settings. The eDGH team applies expertise in program development, e-learning, instructional design, and information and communication technologies (ICT) to design, develop, implement, and evaluate customized global health e-learning including trainings, courses, and certificate programs for a variety of settings and needs.

Through partnering with faculty and training programs in the Department of Global Health, eDGH has also delivered e-learning courses and modules for more than 35 projects since its formation. eDGH supports delivery of online training courses from Global Health faculty such as Clinical Management of HIV, Introduction to Epidemiology, and Principles of HIV/STI Research, Leadership and Management in Health, and Introduction to Implementation Science targeting health care workers in low- and middle-income countries.

Currently, our e-learning activities are being conducted in more than 60 countries, implemented in partnership with national ministries of health and education, universities, and health training institutes. We work across multiple country sites and in settings with limited technology and low bandwidth.
