AmeriCorps VISTA places individuals with nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and tribal governments to increase their reach and impact in making sustainable change that alleviates the impact of poverty. Members in the AmeriCorps VISTA program serve full-time for one year or summer terms with organizations to generate the commitment of private sector resources, encourage volunteer service locally, and empower individuals and communities.
As an AmeriCorps member with a VISTA project, you choose the service location and project that interests you.
