  • Mission

    It is the policy of the state to promote safety of persons and property in and connected with the use, operation, and equipment of boats on the water of the state and to promote uniformity of laws relating to boat safety.

    About Us

    Within the Office of Boating Safety is the Kids Don’t Float Program, the Alaska Water Wise Program, and the Pledge To Live campaign. The Alaska Office of Boating Safety is here to serve all kinds of recreational boaters in Alaska-sailors, paddlers, power boaters, fishermen, hunters, etc. We are dedicated to keeping Alaskans safe while they’re out on the water.
