    The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) exists to engage, enlighten and elevate a diverse inclusive cultural, performing, literary, and visual arts community.

    About Us

    The DCA shall strengthen and advance organizational and individual cultural initiatives by:

    • Identifying, recognizing, developing, supporting and promoting Montgomery’s cultural fields including the individual artists, artisans, administrators, audiences and advocates
    • Creating partnerships, networks, enterprises, and collaborations
    • Cultivating and promoting the presentation, and production of Montgomery’s [Alabama’s] rich and diverse culture
    • Advocating for the cultural arts and arts education
