  • Mission

The Gibson House and Property serves as the county resource for the discovery of and engagement with the historic and evolving practices of regional arts and culture. The community is invited to explore a diverse arrangement of exhibitions, programs and community spaces offered on this landmark site.

    About Us

The Gibson House is a historical Yolo County property, including mansion, outbuildings, and grounds, that has been owned by Yolo County since 1975. The property is operated by the non-profit YoloArts as a cultural center, incorporating history, art, and the County culture into activities at the Gibson House. As a cultural center educational programming, private event rentals, public programming, exhibitions, and gardening activities will be provided at the property. This will includes school tours and the display of the County historical collection. The Gibson House is unique as a representation of historic Yolo County. The main themes of the museum are the establishment and development of farming and ranching in Yolo County, as shown through the life and work of William Byas Gibson and his family.
