    Since 1979, the Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) has provided a safe haven for those families and individuals forced to flee the violence of their homes. Today, in addition to providing immediate safety, CCSS offers an array of comprehensive services to help people gain independence and enable children to learn how to process the violence they have experienced in their young lives. The organization provides emergency shelter, housing, counseling, advocacy, prevention, and education services in the south suburbs of Chicago. These services are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, empowering, transforming, and lifesaving. All services offered to victims of domestic violence are provided at no charge.

    The organization is at a critical juncture, experiencing rapid growth and increased demand for its services. CCSS's success is fueled by heightened community awareness and strong partnerships, including support from 14 local police departments. The next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will have the chance to build upon a strong organizational foundation and unify shelter and administrative operations under one roof, streamlining processes and enabling expansion.Key opportunities include leading the transition to a new consolidated facility, driving innovative fundraising strategies inclusive of capital campaigns, and diversifying funding sources amid political and economic volatility. CCSS seeks a strategic thinker who is data driven and is willing to take calculated risks. Forging new relationships with financial professionals (financial planners, accountants, and attorneys) is an opportunity to unlock additional revenue streams. The CEO will also focus on professionalizing staff, improving retention, and offering training programs that could benefit both internal teams and other domestic violence organizations.

    CCSS values a leader who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable managing through change. Experience in trauma-informed care, clinical settings, or domestic violence is highly desirable, as is an understanding of programmatic excellence. Operational enterprise experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, and brings a 'get it done' mentality, balanced with empathy and a willingness to challenge norms when necessary.Crisis Center for South Suburbia offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
