    Political Competitiveness Assistant (Nonpartisan Political Broadcasting Company)

    Location: Washington, DC (hybrid) Tuesday-Thursday in office

    Hours: 40 hours a week

    Salary: $24 hour

    Type of position: Full-time temporary February 20, 2026-November 6, 2026

    The Choice’s client, a prominent nonpartisan political broadcasting company, is seeking a Political Competitiveness Assistant. This role will focus on data entry, notification management, new orders for political advertisements, and operations. Excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in political advertising or trying to get experience in the broadcasting field.

    This is a contract position slated to start around February and run on a contract basis until November 6, 2026.

    Qualifications

    • Coursework or degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Political Science, Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Media Law, or related fields
    • Prior experience or internship in Political campaigns, PACs, advocacy groups, Media organizations or political ad compliance functions.
    • Strong skills in tracking and classification (spreadsheets, databases, reporting).
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated integrity in handling sensitive data.
    • Keen attention to detail and the ability to handle and manage multiple projects.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Provide ad-buying agencies with timely competitive spending alerts via email.
      • Monitor internal political order alerts and work quickly to track and report out political spending for local, national, and issue-based races.
      • Heavy amount of data entry – daily and weekly activity will fluctuate based on race activity.
      • Perform database entry, general tracking on excel, data management and maintenance tasks;
      • Help with proofreading and accuracy of internal documents;
      • Other tasks as necessary
