    Start Date: ASAP

    Location: Washington, DC, in-person Tuesday-Thursday

    Compensation: $25/hour

    Hours: 20-25 hours a week 10am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday

    Education: 2-Year Degree preferred but not required

    Experience Level: Entry level

    About the Role

    A humanitarian-focused nonprofit is seeking a reliable Part-Time Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day office operations. This role focuses on facilities coordination, workplace upkeep, inventory support, and general operational assistance. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and able to manage routine tasks and small projects within a fast-paced office setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Facilities coordination including building management, visitor access, delivery coordination, and storage.
      • Workplace upkeep and environmental standard which includes maintaining the workplace presentability, safety, and upkeeping space etiquette.
      • Vendor and contractor coordination including assisting with onboarding and coordinating external vendors performing maintenance or facilities-related services and supporting logistics.
      • Inventory supply including monitoring supply stations, tracking patterns, and maintaining accurate inventory.
      • General operational support including mail, internal documentation, and event set-up.

    Qualifications:

      • Prior customer service or facilities experience in an office preferred.
      • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with vendors and staff.
      • Good bookkeeping and accounting skills.
      • High attention to detail and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy.
      • Experience working in a diverse office environment.
