    Description

    Part-Time Communications & Program Support Specialist (Remote | Temporary)

    • Up to 20 hours per week
    • Fully remote (availability across CT, MT and PST time zones required)
    • February–June 2026
    • $27/h
    • Must provide own computer and reliable internet; systems access provided

    A national, mission-driven higher education organization is seeking a part-time Communications and Program/Event Support Specialist to support communications, learning events, and operations during a high-impact spring term. This is a temporary, remote role running February–June 2026, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing writing, coordination, and light project management in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Duties:

    Communications

    • Draft and edit internal updates, newsletters, and external announcements
    • Coordinate social media content and scheduling with senior leadership, program teams, and vendors
    • Support preparation of materials for board meetings, funder communications, and public events
    • Maintain brand consistency across all written and digital content
    • Monitor and respond to a shared learning platform inbox

    Programs & Events

    • Support planning and execution of a Spring convening
    • Provide light project management support for learning and development events
    • Maintain shared calendars, contact lists, and digital files
    • Provide administrative and logistical support to operations and engagement teams
    • Assist with special projects as needed

    Qualifications:

    • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience (nonprofit or mission-driven orgs preferred)
    • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in evolving environments
    • High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
    • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, and WordPress
    • Experience working remotely is a plus
