    Compensation: Unpaid. Monthly Food and Travel Stipend Available

    Reporting to: Director, People and Culture

    Location: Remote (East Coast Preferred)

    Position Summary

    The Human Resources Intern will work closely with the Director of People and Culture learning the fundamentals of managing day-to-day people operations activities to include HRIS management, employee file management and recruiting. Our HR internship program is geared toward students interested in a generalist role or more specifically interested in HR technology and HR operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with maintaining HRIS including updating employee files
    • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process to include posting jobs, culling resumes, scheduling and conducting phone interviews and participating in monthly new hire onboarding activities
    • Assist with developing and analyzing staff surveys
    • Additional administrative tasks as assigned by Director

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Part-time or full-time college student (undergraduate junior/senior year or graduate student) enrolled in a Psychology, Human Resources or Industrial Organization program
    • Must be available to work 20-25 hours a week (core hours on weekdays between 10AM-4PM EST)

    Qualifications

    • Must be seriously interested in Human Resources and/or Organizational Development as a discipline
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; tech savvy
    • Comfortability working remotely and not intimidated by the use of new technology
    • Must be interested in the work of AFSP
