    Position Title: Community and Admin Intern

    Reports To: Community and Admin Manager

    Job Type: Contract

    Tenure: 12 Months

    Location: Remote

    Role Summary

    The Community and Admin Intern will support the APVA Community Manager in managing day-to-day community activities, coordinating volunteers, and performing basic administrative tasks, while gaining hands-on experience working within a growing creative network.

    This role is suited for someone who can work with people and stay organised.

    Key Responsibilities

    Community Management -30%

    • Assist in managing APVA’s online and offline communities under the supervision of the Community Manager.
    • Help respond to community questions, messages, and feedback promptly.
    • Promote engagement activities that encourage participation and connection within the community.
    • Help maintain a welcoming and respectful environment across APVA platforms.

    Volunteer and Country Leads Management - 20%

    • Assist in tracking volunteer participation and engagement.
    • Support internal communication between the community team and volunteers.

    Administration & Data Management - 50%

    • Assist with data entry and routine updates to APVA’s database.
    • Help organise and file documents and internal records.
    • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and internal documents.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings and supporting event coordination.
    • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 0–2 years’ experience in editorial, content, or communications roles (internship experience counts).
    • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with digital publishing tools.
    • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and digital tools.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
