    Description

    Travel Times, Nepal’s dedicated travel and tourism fortnightly newspaper and digital portal, invites passionate journalism, photography, and documentary/film-making students and professionals to join our immersive field-based internship program. This program offers a unique opportunity to explore Nepal while gaining hands-on experience in travel journalism, destination storytelling, photography, documentary production, and digital media.

    Program Overview

    The internship is designed for aspiring and emerging journalists, photographers, filmmakers, and content creators who want practical exposure in Nepal’s travel and tourism sector.

    Interns will travel to different destinations across Nepal to research, document, and produce compelling stories for print, digital, and social media platforms.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Travel to various destinations across Nepal for reporting assignments
    • Write engaging destination features for print and online publication
    • Visit eateries, cafes, and restaurants for professional food reviews
    • Attend tourism-related events, festivals, and industry programs
    • Interview tourism entrepreneurs, hospitality businesses, and industry stakeholders
    • Research and produce in-depth stories on Nepal’s tourism industry
    • Capture high-quality travel photographs
    • Produce short documentaries and travel video features
    • Create reels and digital content for online platforms
    • Manage and post content on Travel Times’ social media channels
    • Contribute to digital storytelling and audience engagement strategies

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong interest in travel, tourism, and storytelling
    • Photography and videography skills
    • Basic photo/video editing knowledge
    • Understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
    • Creative thinking and strong communication skills
    • Fluency in English (Nepali preferred)
