    Description

Remote Social Media & Research Intern

We're looking for a social-media-loving human who wants to help more people experience the magic of sound.

We're Sound Meditation Presents, a small sound healing business in the process of transitioning into a nonprofit that creates large-scale sound bath experiences and online content to help people rest, reset, and remember themselves. We have tons of content (videos, clips, teachings) and not enough bandwidth to share it all.

We're looking for a Remote Social Media & Research Intern to help us:

    • Turn our existing videos into short, engaging posts (IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, maybe a newsletter cameo).
    • Research the benefits of sound therapy and sound meditation (from legit sources like hospitals, universities, and research orgs) and turn that into clear, informational content.
    • Do simple, structured interviews with us about sound therapy (Simona wrote a book about it) and help pull out great clips and quotes.

This might be a fit if:

    • You're into meditation, sound, nervous system regulation, or healing arts.
    • You get what makes a good reel/post and like experimenting.
    • You enjoy taking research-y things and making them sound human.
    • You're organized enough to track posts and not scared of a spreadsheet or Notion board.

    What you'll actually be doing:

    • Clipping short moments from our videos and drafting warm, non-cringey captions around sound, stress, sleep, and healing.
    • Pulling quotes and findings from reputable sources on sound therapy and music/sound for well-being, and summarizing them for posts.
    • Preparing and asking us questions about sound therapy, recording those conversations, and flagging the best bits for content.
    • Helping us keep a simple content calendar so we can stay consistent without burning out.

    Details:

    • Remote, volunteer internship (unpaid).
    • About 5–8 hours per week, flexible.
    • Minimum 3-month commitment, with the option to continue if it's a great fit.
    • You'll work directly with Simona and Guy, plus our tiny core team, as we grow into a nonprofit.

    What you get:

    • Real experience creating content for a mission-driven arts/wellness organization in the middle of its transition from small business to nonprofit.
    • A chance to deepen your understanding of sound meditation and the science behind it, using both current research and Simona's book.
    • Mentorship around content and storytelling, plus a reference letter, portfolio pieces, and potential school credit if approved.

    To apply, send:

    • A short note about who you are and why this sounds fun.
    • 1–3 examples of social content you've made (or draft ideas).
    • Optional: any background in meditation, music, psychology, neuroscience, or healing arts

    Benefits

When a student says, “Can I get credit for this?” your steps are:

    1. Tell them: “Credit is granted by your school; please talk to your advisor or career services about their internship-for-credit process.”
    2. Ask them to send you any forms their school requires (learning agreement, site supervisor form, evaluation templates).
    3. Review and sign the forms, confirm:
      • Supervisor name and contact (you or a designated team member)
      • Expected duties and learning goals
      • Schedule and total hours
    4. Near the end, complete whatever evaluation the school sends (often a short online form or letter).
