Design and Drive Support for Lasting Stability!

At Entryway, we open doors for individuals and families facing situational homelessness to return to economic independence through career training, employment, and housing partnerships.

As our Program and Retention VISTA, you’ll design tools and support models that improve participant retention, identify barriers, pilot solutions, and strengthen communication to help individuals maintain employment and housing stability.

    About Entryway

Entryway is a national nonprofit operating in 11 regional markets. Founded in 2014, we restructured after the pandemic and now operate with the agility and energy of a start-up, while backed by seasoned professionals committed to long-term impact.

Our team works remotely, with weekly all-staff videoconferences that keep us connected, collaborative, and innovative.

    What You’ll Do

In this one-year service term, you will assess participant needs, design and pilot support tools, and implement innovative retention strategies like check-ins, mentorship, peer support groups, and resource guides. You’ll collaborate with staff, partners, and participants to improve program engagement, completion, and long-term success.

This role combines research, program design, and hands-on support, giving you the opportunity to directly impact lives while building your skills in workforce development, project management, and nonprofit program operations. If you’re driven, empathetic, and ready to make a real difference, this position is for you!

    Member Activities:

      • Assess participant needs and identify barriers to job retention and housing stability
      • Develop practical support tools, guides, and resource kits
      • Pilot retention programs, including check-ins, mentorship, peer support, and coaching
      • Gather feedback and refine strategies to improve program completion and engagement
      • Strengthen communication and collaboration between staff, partners, and participants
