    Description

Be GirlPwrd is a nonprofit organization empowering girls and young women through confidence-building, mentorship, goal-setting, and purpose-driven planning. Through workshops, community programming, and leadership development experiences, we equip young women to walk boldly into their future. Interns at Be GirlPwrd are contributors to the mission — not observers.

The Digital Strategy & Social Media Intern supports Be GirlPwrd’s online presence, digital storytelling, and audience engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in digital marketing, social impact storytelling, content creation, brand strategy, or nonprofit communications.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    Social Media & Content Creation

    • Assist with planning and scheduling content across social media platforms
    • Create graphics, short-form videos, captions, and engagement posts
    • Support content calendar development aligned with campaigns and events
    • Capture and repurpose content from workshops, events, and activations
    • Monitor engagement and support community management

    Digital Strategy & Growth

    • Support digital campaigns for programs, events, and fundraising initiatives
    • Assist with email marketing content and digital communications
    • Track analytics and performance metrics to support growth strategy
    • Research trends and recommend innovative ways to expand reach and impact
    • Help maintain brand consistency across platforms

    INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

Time Commitment: 10–15 hours per week

    Location: Hybrid / Remote

Supervision: Direct mentorship and feedback from leadership

    WHAT YOU’LL GAIN:

    • Hands-on experience in nonprofit digital marketing and brand strategy
    • Portfolio-ready content and campaign experience
    • Experience building and scaling a mission-driven brand
    • Mentorship and professional development support
    • A recommendation upon successful completion

    Benefits

This internship is ideal for a creative, self-motivated individual who understands the power of digital storytelling and wants to use media as a tool for impact. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and excited about amplifying the voices and experiences of girls and young women.

    Preferred (but not required) skills:

    • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
    • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
    • Comfort creating short-form video content and reels
    • Strong writing and caption development skills
    • Interest in analytics, engagement strategy, and brand growth

This is a collaborative but fast-moving environment. Interns are trusted with real responsibility and creative ownership. You won’t just “assist” — you’ll help shape how Be GirlPwrd shows up digitally.

We value initiative, creativity, professionalism, and heart. If you are passionate about purpose-driven brands and empowering the next generation of leaders, this role is for you.
