Community Development, Social Work, Public Health, Disability Inclusion and Poverty Eradication Program in Uganda

Save the Marginalized (STM) is a community-based organization operating in Kamuli District, Uganda. STM works to empower vulnerable populations through education, health, disability inclusion, economic empowerment, gender equality, child protection, community development, and poverty eradication initiatives.

STM welcomes students, researchers, and professionals from international universities to participate in practical internship placements that combine academic learning with meaningful community service.

Program Goal

To provide practical learning opportunities in community development and poverty eradication while supporting vulnerable communities in Uganda.

Interning with Save the Marginalized offers a unique opportunity to gain hands on international experience while making a meaningful impact in vulnerable communities. Participants benefit from professional mentorship, practical field exposure, cross cultural learning, and opportunities to develop leadership, research, and project management skills. Interns work alongside experienced community development practitioners and engage directly with local communities. Additional benefits include orientation and supervision, networking opportunities, completion letter, support with accommodation arrangements, and the chance to contribute to sustainable development initiatives focused on poverty eradication, disability inclusion, education, health, and women's empowerment in Uganda.
