    Description

    The Hunger Project (THP) is seeking an intern to work as part of our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team. This internship is open to students, career starters, or career changers.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Support the development of dynamic data visualizations, a data analysis tool using R(Shiny)
    • Designing and developing data pipelines and building APIs
    • Work with our MEL team to brainstorm innovative strategies for leveraging data for program learning
    • Research best practices in statistical analysis and data visualization to drive program impact
    • Work with international MEL teams on data analysis and visualization efforts
    • Other administrative and support tasks as needed by the MEL team

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Interest in international development, computer science, data science, data analytics, sociology, or other related areas
    • Able to work independently once assigned a project
    • Experience in any of the following is a plus: Python, R, SQL, PHP
    • Detail-oriented and committed to quality outcomes
    • Experience working with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
