ABOUT WOMEN’S VENTURE FUND
Women’s Venture Fund (WVF) is a nonprofit organization that has helped over 28,000 women entrepreneurs build businesses over the past 30 years through loans, business advisory services, and entrepreneurial support programs.
ABOUT ROLE
What does it take to build a business with no safety net, no inherited capital, and no one telling you it's possible? Women's Venture Fund has spent 30 years answering that question for women — mostly women of color — backing 28,000 businesses with one of the strongest track records in community lending.
We're growing, and we need two communicators to help us tell this story to a wider audience. This isn't a coffee-run internship — you'll write real outreach, build real content, and contribute across multiple initiatives this year, including a major public campaign launching this summer and an in-person convening in November.
What you'll actually do:
- Write outreach that gets real women to say yes to sharing their stories publicly
- Build and run social content across platforms
- Help shape donor materials, event communications, and ongoing organizational marketing
- Use ChatGPT and other AI tools daily to draft faster and think clearer
- Take on real ownership across a range of projects as the year unfolds
You might be right for this if:
- You've done any marketing, comms, journalism, or nonprofit work — even informally
- You write in a way that makes people feel something
- You're AI-curious and already use tools like ChatGPT in your own work
- You want real ownership and a role that grows with the organization, not a single fixed task
