    Description

    The Data Analyst Intern at Partners for HOME is integral to enhancing effectiveness and strategic decision-making within the organization through expert data management and analysis. This role is tailored for a dynamic, technically skilled individual who thrives on turning complex data into actionable insights.

    Responsibilities include:

    • conducting thorough data analysis to inform planning and performance evaluations
    • creating advanced reporting templates
    • delivering compelling data visualizations and narratives that support all levels of the Continuum of Care (CoC).

    The Data Analyst will also provide crucial training to HMIS users, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing reports and visualizations effectively. This position is crucial for driving evidence-based strategies and improvements, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility, and supporting the organization's mission through meticulous data oversight and innovative research solutions.

    The selected candidate will work up to 20 hours a week for 3 months.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Conduct data analysis to support planning, performance, and evaluation
    • Provide reports at all levels of the CoC (as needed)
    • Create, publish, and provide narrative interpretation for data visualization
    • Create and maintain front-end development of advanced report templates and custom reports in HMIS
    • Provide training to HMIS users related to reports and visualizations created
    • Stay up to date on program requirements and changes

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
    • Experience in data visualization software and dashboard software
    • Statistical analysis software experience
    • GIS software experience
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
    • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient development systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set, and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage projects
    • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

    Founded in 2015, Partners for HOME's mission is to coordinate a comprehensive response system to end homelessness in the City of Atlanta.

    Partners for HOME serves as the Collaborative Applicant for the Atlanta Continuum of Care (CoC) — a HUD program that promotes community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness and provides funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and state and local governments to quickly rehouse people impacted by homelessness.
