Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing communities in Africa. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as of its fantastic nature and wildlife.

Typical nursing work placements include:

1. BSc Nursing,
2. Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing
3. GNM Nursing
4. Health Promotion Nursing
5. Community Nursing

We tailor your internship placement to your background, experience, and the focus of your internship tasks. For example, the typical day includes practical fieldwork at medical entities and health advocacy in schools and community groups.

Academic-level team leaders are supervising your internship. Additionally, we monitor your progress using a weekly plan and reporting system to ensure you are making good progress in your study program.

The internship outcome is learning to use and gain experience in Africa's tropical medical sector.

Note that Erasmus+ funding can be applied for the training in Tanzania. You can ask your student office about the grant options.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Airport transfers from and to EUR 120 are a personal expense.

The charity visa for immigration is USD 50 and is a personal expense. A VISA with multiple entries valid for less than 12 months costs USD 250.

We pay you a USD 50 per month stipend. It is small, but equivalent to twice Tanzania's national minimum wage. The minimum participation time for assistance is four weeks.

Flights are a personal expense

Local transportation in Tanzania is a personal expense, but it is small if needed.
