    Description

    Physiotherapy Intern — Clinical & Sports Rehab | Tanzania (On-site, Erasmus+)

    Recognized in 2026 by the Tanzanian Government Prime Minister's Office for Humanitarian Work, and winner of the Community Development, International Volunteering & Sustainable Impact Excellence Award 2026.

    Type: Clinical placement (documented hours)

    Location: Village dispensaries, hospitals, and football clubs in the Dar es Salaam region, Tanzania

    Duration: Flexible, year-round · 6–8 hrs/day, Monday–Friday

    Ideal for: physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, sports science, kinesiology

    Skills: clinical rehab, sports physio, assessment, patient care, documented hours

    About the role

    Join an award-winning program offering two settings in one: community clinics and sports physiotherapy with athletes at the Tanzanian Youth Football Academy and leading Dar es Salaam clubs. Hours are documented for your university.

    What you'll do

    • Deliver community and clinical physiotherapy in dispensaries and hospitals
    • Provide rehab for injury, stroke and musculoskeletal conditions
    • Support patients with disabilities and chronic needs
    • Practice sports physio: assessment, rehab and performance maintenance
    • Work with competitive academy and club athletes

    Benefits

    The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

    Airport transfers from and to EUR 120 are a personal expense.

    The charity visa for immigration is USD 50 and is a personal expense. A visa with multiple entries of less than 12 months is $250.

    We pay you a USD 50 per month stipend. It is small, but equivalent to twice Tanzania's national minimum wage. The minimum participation time for assistance is four weeks.

    Flights are a personal expense.

    Local transportation in Tanzania is a personal expense, but it is small if needed.
