This position also acts as a cultural ambassador for CSC, serving as a critical bridge between employees and leadership teams. As a result, the incumbent must act with integrity, diplomacy, and discretion. Commonsense Childbirth Inc. (CSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to eradicate racial disparities in perinatal health by restoring deeply rooted networks of care and support. Our vision is to inspire change that protects human dignity. Commonsense Childbirth was founded by Jennie Joseph in 1997 who created The JJ Way®, a model to effectively reduce and improve outcomes for healthy mothers and children. CSC helps women and families have better birth experiences by caring for birthing people in our Clinics and Birth Center, training other care providers, creating the next generation of midwives at our School of Midwifery, and advocating for equitable birth outcomes through our National Perinatal Task Force. At CSC, we care for every person, every time.
