Synergy School is seeking a spirited, relationship-driven professional to serve as Director of Development. This leadership role advances the school’s fundraising efforts across annual giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, volunteer engagement, communications, and alumni relations. The Director of Development combines hands-on management with thoughtful, long-term planning to support Synergy’s progressive mission and collaborative culture.
An integral member of Synergy’s educational cooperative, the Director of Development serves on the Board of Trustees and is part of the administrative team. Reporting directly to the Board and partnering closely with the Development Committee, this role helps ensure the school’s long-term sustainability and growth. The position includes evening and weekend commitments for meetings, events, and donor engagement, and works closely with a 0.5 FTE Development Assistant. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026.

With competitive salaries, Synergy School also offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits program – including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance. In addition, regular, full-time employees and part- time employees who regularly work 20 or more hours per week or 50% FTE are eligible to participate in the school’s 403(b) program. Once eligibility criteria have been met, employees will be able to participate in the plan, and the school will contribute 6% of an employee’s gross annual salary.
