    About Custom Collaborative

    Custom Collaborative supports adult women who are no/low-income as they launch sustainable fashion careers and businesses, enabling them to support themselves. By learning, building strong networks, and using their new skills, our participants overcome barriers to business ownership and employment, ultimately, changing the economics of the fashion industry.

    Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Success Manager is responsible for fostering and accelerating the success of Custom Collaborative participants in the fashion industry and beyond. This role focuses on growing businesses’ awareness of Custom Collaborative (CC) and its participants' capabilities, with the primary goal of placing women in jobs and preparing them to succeed in their own businesses. Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful partnerships in the form of apprenticeships, internships, and permanent jobs, in the fashion industry, the Success Manager will also advise and connect CC participants to support to start and grow their own businesses.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage relationships with interns, apprentices, and employer partners.
    • Lead communications for all placement programs and workshops, updating and working closely with internal/external stakeholders to achieve program goals.
    • Promote the “earn-and-learn” model to help support CC program participants succeed in the industry and develop future employment and business ownership opportunities.
    • Recruit speakers and mentors, to enhance participant education & skills and broaden their network of resources.
    • Develop and manage training opportunities and foster skill sharing among participants.
    • Collaborate with institutions to develop educational opportunities and investigate and obtain program certification.
    • Develop success plans with participants and employers, maintaining a high level of employer satisfaction; create practical solutions and services to meet stakeholder needs.
    • Capture and document progress, learnings, and achievements.
    • Work within budget and seek ways to earn income and philanthropic support
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to complete projects well and on time, using project management and organizational skills
    • Ability to listen and learn
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
    • Expertise working with people from multiple cultural contexts
    • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Custom Collaborative’s mission
    • Commitment to racial and gender equity, and comfort in applying a racial equity lens to programs and interpersonal professional interactions and relationships
    • Desire to work in a high-performing, collaborative organization
    • Fluency in a language other than English is preferred

    Benefits & Compensation:

    Benefits include generous and flexible paid time off; paid family and medical leave; healthcare plans for employees, dependent children, partners and spouses; supplementary funds to support staff wellness and professional development. Pay range for this full-time position is $65,000- $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.

    Please note that Custom Collaborative staff work in a hybrid in-office work-from-home model. The Success Manager is expected to work 3 days/week in-office at this time.
