    Description

    CSAIR Operations Coordinator

    Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the clergy, this individual will support daily administrative functions, manage aspects of our membership database, and provide direct calendar and scheduling support to the staff.

    Administrative & Office Support

    • Serve as an onsite presence during business hours, welcoming members, visitors, and vendors.
    • Answer the main phone line and respond to emails and inquiries.
    • Maintain the synagogue’s internal and public calendars.
    • Manage event logistics.
    • Coordinate orders for weekly events; liaise with caterers and other vendors.
    • Provide additional administrative support as assigned by the Director of Operations & staff.

    Membership & Database Management

    • Regularly update and maintain member records in our ShulCloud database.
    • Create and manage forms for synagogue events and processes.
    • Create targeted email distribution lists based on member demographics (e.g., b’nai mitzvah families, students, class participants).

    Rabbinic & Clergy Support

    • Manage calendars using Calendly.
    • Coordinate appointments and meetings, including b’nai mitzvah family sessions.
    • Draft acknowledgment letters for donations and other correspondence.

    Qualifications

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate warmly and clearly via phone, email, and in person.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented; keeps accurate records and updates systems in real time.
    • Able to adapt to shifting priorities and multitask effectively.
    • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion.
    • Familiarity with Judaism, Jewish customs, and the Jewish calendar is a plus.
