Development Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Development Officer to help grow and sustain philanthropic support for our mission. This is an opportunity for a high-impact fundraiser who excels at building authentic partnerships and translating mission into meaningful investment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to secure significant gifts
• Develop compelling cases for support aligned with organizational priorities
• Partner with leadership to advance fundraising strategy and revenue growth
• Strengthen donor engagement and long-term relationships
• Track activity and performance using CRM systems (e.g., Neon or similar)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or advancement
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Demonstrated success in securing gifts or meeting revenue targets
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and follow through
• Experience working with CRM systems and managing donor data
• Passion for mission-driven work

Preferred

• Experience with major gifts and institutional fundraising
• Background in nonprofit, education, or cultural organizations
