Director of Institutional Giving
Treehouse Foundation, a Massachusetts based nonprofit with national recognition for its innovative, intergenerational community living model that addresses child welfare, loneliness in aging populations, and affordable housing, is seeking a full-time Senior Director of Institutional Giving to lead and expand a portfolio of institutional funders and secure support for Treehouse’s programmatic work and capital expansion projects.
This is a benefits eligible, full-time non-exempt hybrid position that will require 40 hours of work per week during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to 115,000, commensurate with experience.

With Treehouse Foundation's nationally recognized intergenerational community living model, three generations thrive in one intentionally designed neighborhood, supporting each other as community members with the help of on-site staff, programs and services. Our first neighborhood opened in Easthampton, MA in 2006. Treehouse at Olmsted Village in Mattapan, Boston will welcome members in 2028. A third community is being planned for Worcester, MA while national expansion planning to six sites by 2030 are underway.
THE ROLE
The Director of Institutional Giving is responsible for driving revenue generation through foundation and public funding sources to support Treehouse’s mission. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director will be responsible for both building and maintaining relationships with existing funders, as well as helping develop a robust pipeline of new institutional funders to support the organization’s ambitious growth plans.
The Director will oversee the prospecting and timely submission of grant opportunities and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing and relationship management; pipeline development and research, and have a history of success in winning large state and federal awards.
Location: Hybrid remote, preference for candidates within a commutable radius of Western Massachusetts.
Travel: Travel will be required to meet with foundation and corporate executives across New England.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
This is a benefits eligible, full-time non-exempt position that will require 40 hours of work per week during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to 115,000, commensurate with experience.
This position is hybrid, with biweekly travel to Western Massachusetts for Staff Meets, site visits and/or key events. Travel is expected as the person has statewide responsibility. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
