Substitute Teacher

About our School

Burgundy Farm Country Day School is a progressive, coed day school on a pastoral 25-acre campus near Alexandria, Virginia. We serve 270 children in junior kindergarten through 8th grade. Burgundy believes children learn best in an inclusive, creative and nurturing environment that engages the whole child. The qualified candidate will have:

• Genuine love of learning and desire to work with children as a facilitator of learning
• Collaborative spirit, flexibility, and professionalism
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage a positive classroom environment
• Commitment to teaching in a diverse community
• Interest in outdoor, hands-on, and environmental education
• Teaching experience and a related degree are preferred.

Compensation: $75/half day and $150/full day (subject to change)
