    Description

    We are seeking a creative, high-energy Digital Marketing Specialist with 3–5 years of experience to amplify our mission and engage our community. This is a hybrid position that requires 2–3 days per week on-site at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center to directly support events, programming activities, and live storytelling.

    This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who excels at blending graphic design, video production, and community management to drive impact.You will be the "voice and lens" of our organization, responsible for everything from designing high-impact print collateral to capturing raw, emotional stories from the field and polishing them into professional digital content.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Content Creation & Graphic Design

    • Develop visually compelling collateral materials, including flyers, brochures, posters, and annual reports.
    • Design professional presentations for executive leadership and fundraising events.
    • Ensure all digital and print assets maintain consistent brand identity and messaging.

    Social Media & Community Management

    • Manage and grow the organization’s presence across all social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.).
    • Engage daily with our followers to foster a vibrant, supportive online community.
    • Execute data-driven strategies to increase reach, engagement, and follower growth.

    Storytelling & Multimedia Production

    • Be on-site to interview and capture "visitor experience" stories through photography and video.
    • Handle the end-to-end process of video editing and production for social reels, YouTube, and campaign promos.
    • Translate personal stories and experiences into relatable, human-centric stories.

    Qualifications

    Those with a strong interest or connection to LGBGQ+ history and multilingual skills are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of relevant experience, practical skills, and strong commitment to our mission, including the following qualifications:

    • Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in digital marketing or content creation. Non-profit, museum, or cultural institution is a plus.
    • Multimedia Proficiency: Expertise in editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and visual tools like Canva.
    • Storytelling & Creativity: Strong capability to produce compelling narratives in both short and long formats.
    • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of social media marketing, search engine marketing, and user engagement tactics.
    • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data from analytics tools to inform and recommend content strategies.
    • Communications: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people to capture authentic testimonials and stories.
    • Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and projects under strict, fast-paced deadlines.
    • Community Alignment: Demonstrated knowledge and support of the LGBTQ+ community and its history. A passion for LGBTQ+ rights and social justice is desired.
    • Flexibility: Ability to work a hybrid schedule, in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail is required. Maintain a schedule with standard availability from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, including weekdays and weekends, with the capacity to work extended hours during peak seasons (specifically June and October) and to support special events or holiday periods.

As the first LGBTQ+ visitor center within the National Park Service (NPS), the SNMVC marks a significant milestone and a historic achievement in American history.
