    Organization Overview

    Sharp Again, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Westchester County, NY is seeking a qualified individual to serve as its Program & Development Director. The organization’s mission is to provide the tools and education needed to prevent, slow and reverse memory loss, and to empower everyone to take charge of their cognitive health and general well-being through webinars, community presentations, coaching programs, and partnerships.

    Position Summary

    Sharp Again seeks a dynamic, well-rounded, and resourceful Program and Development Director. As the sole salaried employee, this position will encompass a broad range of programming, development and operational responsibilities to ensure the ongoing day‐to‐day operations of the organization. Working closely with and reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director will implement Sharp Again’s strategic plan. This is a part-time (30 hours per week) remote role in the greater New York area with the ability to travel to Westchester as needed. The ideal candidate will be a responsible self-starter, results-oriented and capable of juggling multiple projects concurrently – with exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Programming: Oversee the planning and execution of SA’s educational programs and initiatives (webinars, workshops, coaching programs, support groups, etc.). Ensure programs align with our mission and are delivered effectively. Continuously evaluate and enhance program offerings, incorporating feedback and the latest research on dementia prevention and brain health. Activities inclusive but not limited to managing webinar and small group registration: processing payments, securing signed agreements, handling correspondence, creating reminder emails, maintaining document/video repository and documenting and evaluating all metrics. Assist speakers with PPT deck creation when necessary.
    • Fundraising: Serve as Sharp Again’s grant application and fundraising lead. Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive revenue strategy, including individual donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants. Identify new revenue sources to ensure continuity of program delivery. Manage year-end and other giving campaigns.
    • Marketing & Community Outreach: In conjunction with the Marketing & Fundraising Committee and the support of a third party agency, coordinate Sharp Again’s messaging to effectively reach our audience to drive programming. Project manage and oversee content marketing across programming related email, newsletters, social media, and website updates via WordPress. Activities inclusive but not limited to managing MailChimp account, writing eblasts, events and program updates and maintaining program metrics.
    • Operations: Manage day-to-day program and marketing operations in coordination with outside vendors and board committee chairs and leverage technology tools to enhance communications and efficiency.
    • Administrative Responsibilities: General administrative activities will include but are not limited to Board Meeting minutes, Google Drive maintenance, and scheduling.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 7-10 years of program coordination and grant writing experience is required.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering programming with a proven ability to manage and evaluate programs aligned to mission and impact goals.
    • Demonstrated fundraising success, including strong grant writing abilities and proven success in securing funding and in identifying new funding sources. Facility with donor management software.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort representing the organization and familiarity with integrated marketing necessary to drive program engagement.
    • Collaborative, resourceful, and self-directed - with the ability to take the initiative to engage with diverse stakeholders.
    • Well-rounded experience in backend platforms including Little Green Light, WordPress, MailChimp, PowerPoint, Google Docs and Zoom event registration.
    • Knowledge of or interest in cognitive health, aging, or dementia prevention is desirable

    Additional Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
    • Must be able to occasionally travel for events in the greater New York area.
    • The salary range is $60,000-$70,000 - commensurate with experience.
