Facilities & Program Support Specialist – Nonprofit Home Repair Program, Dallas Texas

Hearts & Hammers is hiring a dependable, hands-on professional to support our volunteer-driven home repair programs in Dallas, Texas. This is a steady part-time role for someone who takes pride in organization, equipment readiness, and quality workmanship, and wants their work to directly support seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans.

This is a dynamic role that includes working in our warehouse, facilitating material pick-up and delivery, and being out in the field conducting exterior home technical inspections. The role also involves preparing homes for Program Days through pressure washing, and completing post-Program Day touch-ups to ensure each project is finished to a high standard.

Duties

• Maintain an organized warehouse and manage materials using our QR-based inventory system
• Load, deliver, and retrieve trailers for Program Days
• Safely drive a pickup truck with a 10-foot trailer
• Pressure wash home exteriors before projects
• Assist with exterior home inspections to assess eligibility and scope of work
• Complete minor exterior repairs and paint touch-ups
• Ensure volunteers arrive to a prepared, job-ready site

Schedule

• 20 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Must be available for morning trailer deliveries during summer Program Days

Qualifications

• Comfortable driving with a trailer
• Confident using tools and performing light exterior repairs
• Organized, dependable, and self-directed
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and mobile apps
