    About Concert Theatre Works

Concert Theatre Works is one of the most exciting companies in the performing arts today — a

fast-growing innovator at the intersection of classical music, theatre, and science. We tour

roughly 10 of our 30+ productions to 25+ cities each year, partnering with the world's leading

orchestras, festivals, and venues across North America, the UK, and the EU. Our mission: build

new, passionate audiences for classical music through bold and surprising storytelling.

    The Opportunity

We are entering a new chapter — deepening our work in arts, science, health, and wellness —

and we need a critical new voice in the family. This is a rare role: lean, high-impact, with real

creative ownership and genuine global reach. There is room to grow here. If you are a

digital-native marketer who loves the arts, thrives on ambitious targets, and wants your work to

mean something beyond an algorithm — this is your role.

    Position Overview

The Marketing Manager is the engine of Concert Theatre Works' digital presence. You will

create systems for holistic planning, tracking, analysis, documentation and reporting, own our

social media strategy, run digital advertising for every appearance, co-author our monthly

newsletter, manage partner marketing relationships, and steward our media library. You will

work directly with our Video Editor, Artistic Director, Chief Strategy Officer, General Manager,

and Graphic Designer — a small, high-trust team that moves fast.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media & Content

Act as command center for and execute our social media strategy (2 original posts/week

across platforms, plus posting 1 CTW-staff generated post), adapting content to platform

    best practices and audience behaviour.

Maintain a flexible content calendar that reflects the innovation and artistry of CTW.

Grow our follower base with targets tied to performance increases.

Organise incoming reviews, features, and media into a consistent brand voice.

Actively participate in and cultivate the online communities we are part of.

    Online Advertising

Manage digital ad campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, and GiveButter to drive reach.

Recommend marketing spend per production and touring market.

Monitor and optimize campaigns in real time against aggressive box office targets.

Deliver weekly performance reports on a standard template with targets, updates, and

    recommendations.

    Email & Audience Cultivation

Co-author monthly email newsletters in Mailerlite with the Artistic Director.

Grow our subscriber list and social following through innovative, data-informed strategies.

    Partner Liaison & Box Office

Liaise monthly — and weekly in the final run-up — with marketing staff at partner

festivals, orchestras, and venues to coordinate ad spend and drive sales.

Collate box office data from tour venues, tracking MetaPixel placement and WordPress

    analytics.

    Media Assets & Administration

Maintain the CTW media library: photos, video, and press materials.

Strategically drive and manage analytics, conversions, ROI and share with leadership for

    real time course correction.

Extract and distribute pull quotes from reviews to the full team (approx. twice monthly).

Attend the weekly Monday morning team meeting (approx. 30 minutes).

    What We’re Looking For

    Required

Proven experience as a marketing leader and social media manager in the arts, with a

track record of growing nonprofit accounts.

Strong command of Meta platforms and paid advertising strategy.

Experience managing digital ad campaigns end-to-end: budgeting, execution, and

    reporting.

Demonstrated experience with effective use of analytics.

Fluency with AI marketing tools, Canva, Eventbrite, GiveButter, and similar platforms.

Excellent writer — clear, warm, and on-brand.

Highly organised, self-directed, and dependable as a remote team member.

    Strongly Preferred

Background as a performer or theater-maker — musician, actor, or singer.•

Experience in classical music or opera.

Familiarity with international touring and multi-market strategy.

Ability to pitch an innovative marketing strategy for a growing nonprofit arts company —

this is central to the second interview.

    Working Conditions

Fully remote — work from anywhere in the world.

    10 hours/week, minimum 40 weeks/year.

    $30/hr with performance increases.

Unlimited unpaid vacation (up to 12 weeks/year), approved in advance.

Reports directly to Bill Barclay, Artistic Director & Founder.

    How to Apply

We are hiring immediately. Please send the following to bill@ConcertTheatreWorks.com:

A brief cover letter — why you, why CTW, why now.

    A 1-page CV or résumé.

1–3 examples of social media accounts you have managed, with notes on results.

Links to relevant press or marketing campaigns you have led.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first interview, followed by a second interview built

around your proposed CTW marketing strategy.

Concert Theatre Works is committed to building a diverse, inclusive team. We believe that new audiences for classical music begin with new and diverse voices telling the story.
