    Description

    The International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 IATSE is the largest camera and publicist union in the world with over 9,000 members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We are a National Local of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE).

    Applications are now being accepted for the hourly, non-exempt position of Events Coordinator. This is an in-person position based in our National Office - Los Angeles, California.

    SALARY:

    Staring at $31.51 per hour, depending upon experience.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting Guild events, including the Publicists Awards, Emerging Cinematographer Awards, membership meetings, and other member programs and events. This role manages events logistics, coordinates with vendors and sponsors, oversees the production of event-related materials, and assists with promotional and attendee communications. The Events Coordinator also supports the production of the Publicists Awards program, including editorial content and advertising/sponsorship coordination, maintains updates to member profiles, and coordinates email communications and outreach on Guild events and initiatives.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Plan, coordinate, and support Guild events, including the Publicists Awards, Emerging Cinematographer Awards, membership meetings, and other member programs and events in collaboration with other members of the Events and Communications departments.
    • Manage event logistics, including timelines, vendor coordination, venue needs, registration, and on-site event support.
    • Assist other Events staff within the department with event planning, logistics, and on-site execution as needed.
    • Oversee the production and procurement of event-related materials, including signage, printed materials, awards, and promotional items.
    • Assist with promotional communications and attendee outreach for Guild events and initiatives.
    • Coordinate email communications related to Guild events, member programs, and other communications initiatives.
    • Support the production of the Publicists Awards program, including editorial coordination and advertising and sponsorship fulfillment.
    • Maintain and update member profiles and related membership information.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the National Director of Communications.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma
    • Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously to complete projects and tasks
    • Previous union experience a plus

    PREFERRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    2 years events coordination and data entry experience.

    LICENSE AND PHYSICAL CLASS:

    • A valid Driver’s License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
    • Ability to lift-up to 20 lbs.

    CLASSIFICATION:

    This is a non-exempt position covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement between ICG Local 600 and OPEIU Local 174. The job falls under the administrative job classification.
