    Who We Are Looking For: We the Veterans and Military Families seeks a creative and strategic Digital Engagement Manager to amplify our mission of empowering veterans and military families to strengthen America. The ideal candidate will have exceptional digital storytelling and fundraising abilities, a passion for positive, patriotic civic engagement, and an understanding of the veteran and military family community.

Our mission is to empower the veteran and military family community to strengthen America with a focus on patriotic participation. We unite private and public sector experts and leaders to find solutions to our country's biggest challenges. We bring those solutions to life through convenings and programming aimed at engaging and empowering the veteran community, our supporters, and allies to take action in their local communities and beyond.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Community Management & Growth

    • Build and maintain an active digital presence that enhances our reputation as a trusted voice
    • Support community engagement efforts in coordination with the marketing team
    • Engage with other trusted brands in the VMF community to establish a digital rapport and presence with partner organizations
    • Grow our social media presence and followership

    Fundraising Campaign Development & Execution

    • Design and implement comprehensive digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media, website(s), CRM, and other digital channels
    • Manage and optimize our CRM system for donor development, segmentation, and targeted outreach
    • Create compelling donor storytelling content and fundraising communications that highlight organizational impact and VMF success stories
    • Develop and execute major giving campaigns
    • Utilize email marketing, social media advertising, and other digital tools to expand donor reach
    • Optimize online donation processes and website fundraising functionality

    Strategy & Content Development

    • Develop (in conjunction with program directors and executives) and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that advances our mission and promotes our programs
    • Create engaging, mission-aligned content across digital platforms that resonates with the veteran and military family community and the general public, including blog posts and CRM email newsletters
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all digital platforms that reinforces our organizational values and drives donor engagement
    • Develop and execute multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media, website(s), and other digital platforms

    Analytics & Reporting

    • Track and analyze digital marketing and fundraising metrics across all channels to measure impact and ROI
    • Monitor and report on fundraising campaign performance, including donation conversion rates, donor acquisition costs, and lifetime value
    • Manage donor data and analytics within CRM system to inform strategy and personalize outreach
    • Provide regular reports on digital performance and insights to leadership team
    • Make data-driven recommendations for strategy adjustments and campaign optimization
    • Analyze donor engagement patterns across digital platforms to optimize future fundraising efforts and improve donor retention

    Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with program directors to highlight success stories and impact for fundraising purposes
    • Support the organization's marketing and communications efforts
    • Lead collaboration with the development team on all digital aspects of fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and major gift solicitation support
    • Coordinate with finance team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of digitally-driven donations

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred (relevant experience will be considered in place of degree)
    • 2+ years of experience in social media management and digital communications
    • Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive digital fundraising campaigns across multiple channels
    • Proficiency in Neon preferred
    • Strong understanding of email marketing, social media advertising, and digital analytics tools
    • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor development strategies, and nonprofit compliance requirements
    • Experience with content creation and basic graphic design using tools such as Canva or Adobe design suite
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities
    • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor
    • Self-starter and creative problem-solver who operates with excellence in mind
    • Strong connection to and understanding of the veteran and military family community
    • Passion for civic engagement and a commitment to strengthening America
    • Demonstrated ability to translate organizational mission into compelling fundraising narratives and convert digital engagement into donations

    Flexible work schedule based on marketing demands and campaign needs

    Approximately 10-15% travel may be required for events, team meetings, and special projects. Health benefits offered.
