    Description

OutVote is now accepting applications for the 2026 OutVote Fellowship Program. This exclusive fellowship aims to empower LGBTQ+ Gen Z organizers with education, tools, community, and funding to support civic engagement in their communities. The best candidates care deeply about their local queer and trans communities, are eager to learn about the best practices for political organizing, and are dedicated to empowering our generation of LGBTQ+ citizens through voter engagement and other forms of civic participation.

In 2026, we are seeking applications from candidates who live and vote during the 2026 midterm elections in the Iowa-01, Michigan-07, and North Carolina-11 congressional districts. Michigan's 7th includes areas like Lansing, Olivet, and DeWitt. Applicants can confirm their congressional district here: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative.

    OutVote Fellows will receive:

    • $1,500 stipend for their time
    • $500 resource fund to support community events.
    • A comprehensive summer training through the OutVote Institute.
    • A community of like-minded leaders working to engage our LGBTQ+ community.

Fellows should expect to work approximately 5 hours per week of work from June 8 to December 10.

    That work might look like:

    • Attending educational trainings
    • Creating content
    • Voter registration and education
    • Planning and attending events
    • And more…

To be eligible to participate as a Fellow, you must be:

    • Someone who is committed to the advancement and uplift of the LGBTQ+ Gen Z community.
