Multicolores is seeking a highly creative, strategic, and relationship-oriented professional to lead the organization’s marketing, communications, and strategic partnerships efforts during an important phase of institutional growth.
This role goes beyond traditional marketing.
The selected candidate will help:
- Strengthen organizational visibility
- Develop meaningful partnerships
- Support sustainable market growth
- Position the gallery as a cultural destination
- Communicate the artistic and social impact of Multicolores internationally
This is a cross-functional role connecting:
- Communications
- Partnership
- Storytelling

- And long-term growth strategy
The position is intended for someone excited about building meaningful systems, relationships, and opportunities within a mission-driven and artist-centered organization.
LOCATION
This position is based in Guatemala.
Candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply; however, the selected candidate must be residing in Guatemala or willing to relocate at the start of the role.
Regular presence in Lake Atitlán (Panajachel) and travel within Guatemala will be required, especially during the first phase of the position, in order to understand the organization, artists, operations, and institutional culture. A hybrid structure be considered after the first phase of integration.
Full-time contract, (initial 12–18 months, with possibility of extension)

Experience in Latin America, social enterprises, artisan-based organizations, cultural initiatives, tourism, design, or community-led projects is strongly valued.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and strengthen Multicolores’ marketing and communications strategy
- Coordinate social media and digital storytelling
- Support website content and visibility
- Develop newsletters and institutional communications
- Strengthen storytelling around artists, exhibitions, products, and impact
Strategic Partnerships & Outreach
- Strengthen and develop relationships with:
- Hotels and tourism operators,
- Architects and interior designers,
- Museums and cultural institutions,
- Universities,
- Mission-aligned collaborators
- Support development of cultural tourism experiences connected to the gallery and communities
- Help position Multicolores within international cultural and design networks
Market Preparation & Organizational Growth
- Support preparation for sustainable future sales growth
- Help identify strategic visibility opportunities and market channels
- Coordinate with internal teams to align growth opportunities with production realities and artist capacity
- Support long-term positioning and organizational readiness
Institutional Positioning & Fundraising Support
- Support donor and partner communications
- Contribute to impact storytelling and grant narratives
- Strengthen international organizational visibility and positioning
KEY DELIVERABLES & SUCCESS INDICATORS
The Marketing & Strategic Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping Multicolores achieve the objectives outlined in its strategic growth plan.
While priorities may evolve as opportunities emerge, the following deliverables are expected during the first 18 months:
Within the First 6 Months (July – December 2026)
- Develop a comprehensive Marketing & Strategic Partnerships Plan aligned with organizational priorities, sales objectives, production realities, artist capacity, and long-term growth goals.
- Strengthen communications systems, including website content, newsletters, social media coordination, and institutional storytelling.
- Establish active working relationships with at least three tourism, hospitality, cultural, or strategic partners that can support gallery visitation, visibility, and future collaboration opportunities.
- Identify priority audience segments, partnership opportunities, and marketing channels for future growth.
- Build a deep understanding of artists, production processes, gallery operations, and organizational culture in order to support authentic storytelling and effective partnership development.
Within the First 12 Months (By June 2027)
- Contribute to achieving a 27% increase in gallery sales compared to calendar year 2025.
- Contribute to achieving an 80% increase in online store sales compared to calendar year 2025.
- Support implementation of visitor engagement strategies that increase awareness of Multicolores among tourists, collectors, cultural institutions, and mission-aligned audiences.
- Strengthen organizational visibility through strategic communications, storytelling, exhibitions, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
- Support training opportunities that strengthen internal marketing capacity among Maya staff and artist leaders.
Within the First 18 Months
- Help establish a sustainable marketing and partnership development system that supports long-term organizational growth.
- Expand and deepen strategic relationships within the tourism, design, cultural, educational, and philanthropic sectors.
- Support positioning Multicolores as a recognized destination for contemporary Maya textile art, cultural exchange, ethical design, and artist-led innovation.
- Contribute to measurable growth in visibility, visitor engagement, partnership opportunities, and sales performance.
- Help prepare the organization for future national and international opportunities through strategic communication, relationship-building, and market development efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Cultural Management, or related fields
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strategic thinking and organizational capacity
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in social enterprises, NGOs, artisan-based organizations, tourism, design, or cultural sectors
- Experience working in Latin America or with Indigenous communities
- Experience connecting marketing with partnerships and audience development
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Shopify, social media platforms, newsletters, and CRM systems
