    What We Require:

    The University of New Mexico Foundation seeks applications for the position of Associate Director of Development, UNM Hospitals/UNM Children’s Hospital. This position participates and/or provides leadership, as appropriate, in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of fund-raising projects and programs to meet established development goals, strategies, and objectives. Personally identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards corporate and foundation donors and prospects in accordance with performance targets set by the UNM Foundation and at levels defined by the UNM Foundation. Plans and coordinates projects, programs, and activities to increase visibility among internal and external constituencies, including alumni, corporations, foundations, the business community, patients, and others. Identifies and cultivates prospects and solicits gifts set in accordance with UNM Foundation targets. Collaborates with colleagues in the UNM Foundation and UNM Hospitals/UNM Children’s Hospital to maximize total gift revenue.

    The minimum education and experience required:

    • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution; OR a combination of some higher education and more than one year of relevant experience.
    • At least one year of successful fundraising and development experience, preferably in higher education.
    • Preference given for experience in healthcare philanthropy and grateful patient programs

    Compensation Salary Range:

    The expected salary for this position is $50,000 - $62,000. This range is an estimate, and the final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, consideration of any approved geographic salary differential, and alignment with internal equity guidelines to ensure consistency across similar roles.
