    Description

    SPOP’s Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program is seeking a compassionate and creative Limited Permit LCAT/ LCAT to join our interdisciplinary team supporting older adults living with serious mental health challenges. This 20 hr./week position is focused on facilitating recovery-oriented groups and providing supportive clinical services to a small caseload of participants. The person will report to the Senior Vice President for PROS and work as part of the treatment team 3 days/week at our W. 88th St. location. No evenings, weekend or after-hours coverage required.

    The successful candidate thrives in a lively, congregate setting with older adults and is passionate about reducing mental health stigma. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic and rehabilitation-focused groups using creative arts and recovery-oriented approaches; maintaining a small caseload; and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including social workers, creative arts therapists, vocational specialists, peer staff, and prescribers.

    Eligible candidates for this position must have a Master’s Degree of any creative arts background (i.e. art Therapy, drama Therapy, music Therapy, dance & movement Therapy.) Candidates that hold a limited permit in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT-LP) are also eligible to apply. Experience working with adults with serious mental illness preferred.
