About Rest-Stop-Ranch
Our non-profit organization has been serving the community since 2010. Long-term-care givers and receivers receive critical support within a refreshing and restorative environment. Free-of-charge programs welcome all touched by long-term-care, made possible with volunteer assistance.
Job Summary
The Programs Coordinator takes a lead role in offering social therapeutic services at our non-profit. This is a year-round, part-time position with flexible hours based on office hours and program times (approximately 10 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Help promote programs within the local communities (with Community Liaison).
- Help secure funding and stakeholder support (with Community Liaison).
- Help train volunteers choosing to serve the programs (with Volunteer Coordinator).
- Manage program registrations with personal information.
- Host/Facilitate onsite programs weekly and monthly.
- Evaluate programs on an annual, bi-annual, or quarterly basis.
- Communicate effectively with volunteers and the team/staff.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly check-ins.
- Ensure compliance with public health safety practices.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for Rest-Stop-Ranch's mission.
- Experience coordinating diverse individuals and groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to create a welcoming environment.
- Experience with people with disabilities is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Able to meet weekly with office staff onsite or via Zoom, Wednesday mornings.
- Able to meet & check-in with onsite volunteers during program times.
- Able to meet monthly with Executive Director.
- Ability to work outdoors, rain or shine.
- Comfortable using basic computer programs.
- Commitment to ongoing learning about nonprofit management (read books, attend webinars, lectures, etc).

Benefits
Onsite program times are fixed: weekly and monthly schedules. Additional work hours may be flexible. Unpaid vacation time (pre-planned), as well as non-profit team takes 3 weeks vacation mid-winter and summer (total 6 weeks vacation; programs are not offered during these weeks). No healthcare. Make a positive impact in the community.
Level of Language Proficiency
Speak & Write English. Nice to have: conversational Spanish, Portuguese, American Sign Language...
