Manager, Pathways
For 25 years, NYC FIRST has inspired and empowered tens of thousands of young New Yorkers as they become the next generation of problem solvers and critical thinkers, engaging in meaningful and joyful STEM learning, anchored in robotics, while preparing them for both academic pursuits and careers in STEM. NYC FIRST is building out a new STEM-based civic infrastructure, based on our STEM Centers, which broaden resources, deliver opportunity and set young people on academic and professional pathways. They level the playing field by centralizing valuable resources, including computing, software, fabrication equipment and expert NYC FIRST staff and mentors.
Position Overview
NYC FIRST serves thousands of high school students each year and has over 20,000 alumni from its programs. The Manager, Pathways will help guide those current and former participants in their college and career pathways, with a priority for accessing internship opportunities. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and managing these pathways opportunities. It involves building relationships with current participants and alumni, employers and institutions of higher education. This role will engage at least 500 participants and alumni annually in group, virtual and individual settings.

Compensation
We offer a salary of $85,000 per year. Additionally, NYC FIRST provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; four weeks of paid vacation time per year; paid federal holidays.
