    Description

    MSA’s Mission

The Middle States Association (MSA) is here to inspire wise change in schools.

Purpose and Character of the Role

An accreditation liaison (AL) is the primary contact between a member school and MSA. ALs guide schools through the school improvement journey. This role is a public face for MSA.

The AL for Career & Technical / Title IV schools serves as the primary guide for institutions using Middle States accreditation as the basis for federal financial aid eligibility under Title IV of the Higher Education Act. Because these institutions must sustain compliance with MSA Standards and U.S. Department of Education requirements, the AL monitors reporting obligations, identifies compliance risks, and provides ongoing, direct support to schools.

Experience with Career and Tech schools is required. Experience with Title IV is heavily preferred.

What does success look like for an AL?

A successful AL is a trusted guide to school leaders during their school’s change journey. When the accreditation journey has a school leader anxious or confused, excited or hopeful, they will turn to their AL.

A successful AL is also a trusted teammate. As a project-based organization, MSA relies on everyone to play specific roles and be willing to lend their strengths when needed to help the team to win.
