    Description

    About IX

Inquilinxs Unidxs por Justicia (IX) builds tenant power to transform the housing system in Minneapolis. Founded by Latinx community members, IX organizes renters most impacted by rising rents, unsafe conditions, and landlord abuse.

We are a multi-identity, multi-language, and multi-cultural organization rooted in justice, collective action, and community leadership.

    About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, relational, and movement-aligned Donor Organizer to lead and grow our individual donor program.

This role sits at the intersection of organizing, storytelling, and fundraising—building deep relationships with donors while mobilizing resources to sustain IX’s campaigns and long-term vision.

If you’re someone who can talk about money with clarity and values, build authentic relationships across difference, and translate organizing work into compelling narratives—this role is for you.

    What You’ll Do

Donor Organizing & Stewardship (Primary Focus)

    • Build and maintain relationships with individual donors through 1:1 outreach, events, and ongoing engagement
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain IX’s donor base
    • Lead donor cultivation, asks, and follow-up across staff and leadership
    • Build a values-aligned major donor pipeline

    Campaigns, Events & Messaging

    • Lead fundraising campaigns, annual drives, and donor events
    • Develop compelling donor-facing messaging across email, social, and web
    • Create opportunities for members to engage in fundraising

    Systems & Infrastructure

    • Manage donor database and track engagement with accuracy
    • Coordinate donor communications and outreach calendar
    • Build systems that support long-term fundraising strategy

    Organizational Leadership (Shared)

    • Participate in staff meetings, retreats, and planning
    • Build relationships across staff, members, and partners
    • Contribute to a culture of accountability, feedback, and learning

    Who You Are

You’re a strong candidate if you:

    • Are deeply aligned with IX’s mission and values
    • Have experience leading a project, campaign, or initiative
    • Are a strong relationship-builder across race and class
    • Are comfortable making direct, values-based asks for money
    • Are organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented
    • Are a strong communicator (written and verbal)
    • Are comfortable using tools like Google Workspace and CRMs

    Bonus (not required):

    • Experience in fundraising, organizing, or donor engagement
    • Experience in movement or community-based organizations
    • Spanish language proficiency

    Benefits

    Benefits include:

    • 5 weeks paid time off (160 hours)
    • 11 paid holidays + two annual week-long office closures
    • 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance (for employee + family)
    • Paid parental leave
    • Mileage reimbursement
    • Annual raises (minimum 3%)
    • Up to 5% year-end bonus
    • $1,000 annual professional development stipend

    Work Environment

    • Hybrid role with at least one in-person day per week in Minneapolis
    • Collaborative, relational, and fast-paced team culture

    Level of Language Proficiency

Spanish language proficiency preferred (not required)
