    Schedule: Monday–Thursday and Saturday; Friday off

    Position Summary

    Opus Dance Theatre & Community Services, Inc. is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented HR & Office Administration Coordinator to support HR, office administration, records management, data entry, and DYCD attendance requirements. Bilingual+ (Spanish, French)

    The Coordinator will work closely with and be accountable to both the Program Director and CEO. The position will help update HR documents, organize personnel files, maintain confidential records, support employee onboarding and compliance, and improve office filing and administrative systems.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Review, update, organize, and maintain HR documents and personnel files.
      • Identify missing, outdated, incomplete, or duplicate employee records.
      • Maintain confidential employee and organizational records.
      • Support employee onboarding, payroll, compliance, and required documentation.
      • Organize paper and electronic filing systems, including scanning and uploading documents.
      • Develop spreadsheets and tracking systems for documents, deadlines, and required information.
      • Enter, maintain, and review student attendance data in DYCD systems.
      • Identify and correct attendance discrepancies and maintain supporting documentation.
      • Assist with DYCD reporting and documentation requirements.
      • Experience with DYCD Connect is strongly preferred.
      • Perform accurate data entry and prepare reports, forms, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
      • Demonstrate typing speed of 60–80 WPM with a high level of accuracy.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/email, Google Drive, and other office applications.
      • Assist the Program Director and CEO with administrative projects and special assignments.

    Education & Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred in HR, Business Administration, Office Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
      • Associate’s Degree (AA) required; AA plus equivalent professional experience will be considered.
      • 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR, office administration, records management, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
      • Experience in handling confidential records and performing data entry is required.

    Preferred Qualifications

      • Nonprofit or community-based organization experience.
      • DYCD attendance, reporting, or DYCD Connect experience.
      • HR/personnel records and employee onboarding experience.
      • Experience improving filing systems, forms, and administrative procedures.
      • Experience working with NYC youth development or after-school programs.

    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem solver, strong communicator, and team player who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

    The Coordinator must be comfortable taking directions from and providing regular updates to both the Program Director and CEO.
