    About Full Belly Foods

Full Belly Foods is a national nonprofit that delivers fresh produce directly to Section 8 and affordable housing communities. There are no sign-ups and no income checks — residents just get food. We handle sourcing, cold-chain logistics, and delivery scheduling across a large and growing portfolio of properties.

We're small, we move fast, and the work is real: if an order is placed wrong or a delivery question goes unanswered, families don't get produce that week. We're looking for someone who takes that seriously.

    The Role

You'll be the person who keeps day-to-day operations running and who property staff reach when they need something. This is a detail job first and a people job second — both matter.

    What you'll do:

    • Place and confirm monthly produce orders with vendors, working from order templates and delivery calendars
    • Track delivery dates, line items, quantities, and budgets across multiple properties
    • Answer incoming calls, texts, and emails from property staff and vendors — promptly and professionally
    • Troubleshoot delivery issues as they come up: missed drop-offs, short orders, schedule changes, last-minute substitutions
    • Follow up to confirm deliveries landed as expected and close the loop on open issues
    • Maintain accurate records in Google Sheets and other internal systems
    • Help improve and document the processes you're running

    What We're Looking For

    Required:

    • Exceptional attention to detail. Order accuracy is the core of this job — a wrong quantity or a missed date has real consequences.
    • Customer service experience, or a demonstrated track record of handling stressful, high-pressure situations calmly.
    • Strong responsiveness. You check and reply to calls, texts, and emails throughout the day, and you don't let messages sit.
    • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
    • Comfort with Google Sheets/Excel and general tech fluency — email, shared docs, online ordering portals.
    • Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision, and to flag problems early rather than hoping they resolve themselves.
    • Must reside in Massachusetts and be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Reliable internet, a quiet place to take calls, and availability during standard business hours (schedule is flexible week to week, but vendor and property calls happen during the workday).

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with purchasing, order entry, scheduling, dispatch, or logistics
    • Background in food service, grocery, produce, or property management
    • Experience in a small organization where you wore several hats

    Details

    • Pay: $16–$20/hour, based on experience
    • Hours: Typically 10–20 hours/week, variable. Some weeks are busier around order and delivery cycles.
    • Schedule: Flexible, but requires availability and responsiveness during business hours
    • Location: Fully remote; Massachusetts residency required
    • Reports to: Ben Sigel, Founder & President
