Description
The EcoTarium, a Museum of Science and Nature, seeks a full-time, on-site Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer works as a member of the Advancement Team and is responsible for researching, fostering, managing, and executing all activities related to a successful grant application and following up on awarded grants.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of identifying prospects, and developing well-written, successful proposals that support the mission of the organization. In collaboration with Management, the Grant Writer will construct grant budgets that align with the narrative and support the proposed projects, and will work with managers to produce timely post-award grant reports. A demonstrated ability to organize the work, and manage relationships, and manage the grant life-cycle are required. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and the Grant Writer will work closely with all departments within the Museum to develop timely grant proposals and ensure compliance with all funding requirements. They will be a proactive collaborator who will work with other staff members, the Board of Trustees, volunteers, and outside partners as necessary.
Status: Full Time, Exempt, Union
Salary: $55,000 - $58,000 per year
