FIRST Global (https://first.global) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering the globe’s two billion youth through the sport of robotics to cooperatively solve the world’s greatest challenges using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our flagship program, the FIRST Global Challenge, is an Olympics-style international robotics competition hosted in a different country each year, uniting students from around the world through innovation, teamwork, and cultural exchange.
Position Description:
This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor to create high-quality short-form and feature videos to inspire and educate across FIRST Global’s social media platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an editor who enjoys producing impactful visual work while contributing to a mission-driven organization. National and international travel is required approximately 3 times a year.

This position works with the communication and video production teams and reports directly to the Production Director.
Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Edit video content into high-quality, mission-driven pieces that help tell the story of FIRST Global, working both from provided scripts and from raw footage/concepts when no script is provided.
- Organize, manage, and maintain media assets, including supporting ongoing footage archival workflows.
- Reformat, version, and export video content for a variety of platforms, formats, and delivery needs.
- Support production needs across video, broadcast, and live event-related tasks.
- Create animated graphics for event broadcast and digital use, including transitions, lower thirds, in-venue animations, and related motion elements.
- Support color correction, audio cleanup, captioning/subtitling, and final quality control before delivery.
- Proficiency with operating cameras, stabilizers, lighting and audio is a plus.
- Maintain consistency with FIRST Global’s visual identity, tone, mission, and storytelling style across video deliverables.
- Assist with additional creative, production, and post-production tasks as needed.
We’re looking for:
- 3+ years experience in video production or multimedia, preferably for a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in film, broadcasting, communications, digital media, or a similar field.
- Someone based and authorized to work in the United States.
- High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects).
- Highly self-motivated with strong project management skills and attention to detail. Able to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and project management tools like Asana.
- Commitment to the mission and guiding principles of FIRST Global.
Note that new hires are subject to a three-month probationary period, during which we assess performance, alignment with our values, and mutual fit to ensure long-term success in the role.

Level of Language Proficiency
Native or bilingual fluency in English is required.
Fluency in Spanish, French, or Arabic is a plus.
